A Multi-National Retailer
As the organization grew, e-commerce became part of the strategy. Having limited visibility of overall network activity and ineffective perimeter tools for cybersecurity, management within the organization was realistic about the damaging consequence of a potential cyberattack.
As the company held a great amount of sensitive customer data in its hands, it was enthusiastic to deploy cutting-edge security technology. The purpose of the technology was to detect not only known threats, but also emerging ones within a large global infrastructure. At the same time, the organization was in great need of an infrastructure upgrade to something more robust and cutting-edge.
With limited staff and disjointed solutions in place, the organization couldn’t afford to wait and see whether their old tech would hold up against an attack or incident. Fundamentally, fragmented security systems overwhelmed the team, making it difficult to manage security and keep up with day-to-day operations.
After completing a detailed assessment of the organization’s security and infrastructure in place, this multi-national retail decided to deploy Triden Group’s suite of cybersecurity and managed services. The solutions included:
The overall infrastructure and security solution defend the company from the inside out. In addition, the AI-powered solution finds threats that have already bypassed the perimeter, containing them with managed, detention, and response solutions.
After the assessment and POV of the security solution, the organization discovered vulnerabilities that it was not aware of, which opened the network to potential attacks. At the same time, the new AI-powered solution captured non-secured systems that were connecting to the network by third parties. At the same time, Triden Group’s managed services oversee the network 24x7x365 in conjunction with the managed SOC’s organization.
Furthermore, the new network infrastructure solution delivered visibility to the network team, enabled faster detection of issues, reduced issues’ MTTR (mean time to repair) from days to minutes, and provided an overall infrastructure that empowered the management team to continue its growth. The integrated solution enabled the organization’s IT team to focus on the business issues that matter most and rely on stable and cost-effective managed services.
A Major Golf Manufacturer
Coming from a spin-off by a parent company, this golf manufacturer found itself faced with a conundrum: it needed to become independent with a secure, fast network infrastructure to support its production. This included deploying a new network with a security solution and a disaster recovery mixture to capitalize on existing infrastructure where possible and new infrastructure where needed. At the same time, the IT organization was expected to support all levels of the business while it unraveled from the parent organization to become a standalone entity.
The challenge included protecting intellectual property, sensitive customer data and brand reputation while managing a complex enterprise network that could stand up to sophisticated cyberattacks and inside threats. It was vital to have a network with a cybersecurity strategy able to detect cyberattacks that could compromise the integrity of the organization and brand. All this was to be done on-budget in a relatively short time period with limited staff.
The success of the golf manufacturer was dependent on its global distribution and manufacturing facilities, the network infrastructure communication and the ability to continue operating no matter what disaster it faced.
After performing a strategic overview of where the IT organization was and where it was headed (present and forward strategic evaluation), the organization decided to work with Triden Group’s top engineers to design and deploy a sophisticated disaster recovery site. The solution leveraged existing and new infrastructure, re-architecting the existing network while it operated around the clock.
The organization also worked with Triden Group’s managed services for all of its network infrastructure, management and security needs. Triden Group’s managed services are now an integral part of the organization, which relies on full uptime all day, six days a week.
The security strategy was designed to protect the data that traverses the WAN infrastructure, which enables a highly available disaster recovery site that is utilized as a production site when needed. The security strategy proactively monitors the network 24x7x365 using managed SOC services and Triden Group’s managed services.
The network and security strategies are key to protecting the organization’s data and brand reputation. The disaster recovery plan can be enabled within three minutes with virtually no loss of data. There is complete 24x7 network and security visibility with managed detection and response technology through Triden Group’s managed services. The organization is now well-suited to handle its manufacturing and distribution on demand without worrying about network issues or cybersecurity attacks that could potentially stop all production. The management team is confident that its IT infrastructure is resilient to current and future business challenges.
Case Study: Tax & Accounting Firm in the U.S.
With over 25 years in business, one of the largest accounting firms in the U.S.— a leader in tax and accounting work for mid-sized and large organizations — was challenged with its growth. Over the past five years, the organization has been acquiring firms at a fast pace and was looking to become SOC2 compliant to avoid loss of customers due to the changes in the law. Their existing infrastructure and security program were not equipped to support compliance with the changed regulations.
As the organization grew through acquisition, its customer database grew — along with its sensitive client data. With such growth, the firm was looking for an innovative way to enhance its security posture and become SOC2 compliant. Additionally, the organization wanted to have secured communication channels for data transmission to prevent confidential data from falling into the wrong hands.
Triden Group quickly implemented a strategic program that mapped the organization’s path to becoming SOC2 compliant. The program included the following:
The final product provided visibility to potential blind spots, enabling the security team to triage, investigate and respond to cyber threats from any entry point. The management team now has full confidence in the technology that protects their clients’ information.
In a short period of time, Triden Group was able to assess and present a strategy that raised the organization’s security posture and SOC2 compliance with new technology. This was accomplished through a combination of SaaS, managed services and virtual CISO advisory services. The result was a secure, SOC2 compliant environment. Ultimately, Triden Group has allowed the organization to advertise its security posture to its clients and raised the firm’s level of confidence that the clients’ data is secured.
